The Amphibian Survival Alliance is excited to share the news that applications for The Iris Prize 2025 are now open. This global award provides trust-based funding, mentorship, and capacity-building support to youth-led environmental initiatives ranging from conceptual ideas to established projects.

About the Prize

The Iris Prize aims to empower talented and dedicated young individuals to champion nature protection and restoration within their communities. This year’s prize includes:

  • Three winners and six runners-up will receive between $1,500 and $15,000 each
  • Trust-based, flexible funding designed to accommodate each project’s unique requirements
  • Comprehensive capacity-building support and peer-to-peer mentorship
  • Access to CoalitionWild’s EXCELerator program and their Creative Climate Communications program

Eligibility Requirements

To qualify for The Iris Prize, applicants must meet the following criteria:

  • Project leads must be between 14-24 years of age at the time of application
  • Projects must support the principle of protecting and restoring nature and the rights of environmental defenders
  • Open to applicants from all countries worldwide
  • Applications are accepted in any language, with application materials available in English, Portuguese, Spanish, French, and Arabic
