The IUCN SSC Conservation Planning Specialist Group (CPSG), an Amphibian Survival Alliance (ASA) partner, is currently offering the online course Facilitating Species Conservation Planning Workshops. This online course has been designed to build the capacity necessary, globally, for the creation and implementation of effective action plans. By the end of the course, participants should be able to design and facilitate species conservation planning processes, among other things.

CPSG has gently agreed to secure 3 spots in the course for amphibian experts associated with ASA partners and ASA Future Leaders of Amphibian Conservation.

We strongly encourage ASA partners and Future Leaders to apply since this is a very important skill for amphibian conservationists to have. When applying, please mention your link with the ASA in your application.

The course will run from Monday 29th March to Friday 14th May 2021. It is run entirely online and involves 5-10 hrs work per week for seven weeks.

The course is valued at $1000.00 per student. However, in line with CPSG’s aim to increase the number of threatened species benefitting from good planning, CPSG is committed to providing this high-quality course at no charge.

Since there are limited spots, please only apply if you are committed to attend and complete the course and if you are involved (or will be involved in the near future) with the development of species conservation plans.

The deadline to apply is Monday 8th March, 2021.

You can find more information about the course here. You can apply here.

The ASA would like to thank CPSG (especially CPSG’s Chair Onnie Byers and CPSG’s Director of Training Jamie Copsey) for giving our partners and Future Leaders this incredible opportunity!
